Four long standing Managers of Papers in Physics are moving to act as Section Editors
After the incorporation of new colleagues to the Managing Board, our long standing Managers Sergio Cannas, Santiago Grigera, Jean-Christophe Géminard and Carolina Brito are changing their role to act as Section Editors of Papers in Physics.
Sergio Cannas is one of the founders of Papers in Physics. He has acted as Managing Editor since its creation in 2009 and was key in many of the initial efforts to establish the journal. After 17 years of supporting the daily running of the journal, Sergio is moving to the role of Section Editor. His commitment to develop not only his area of research in Statistical Mechanics but also the editorial activities in South America is greatly appreciated. We warmly thank Sergio for all these years in the Managing Board.
In 2009 Santiago Grigera was a central part of the small team of colleagues launching Papers in Physics. He has been one of the Managing Editor ever since. Santiago is now moving to act as Section Editor. He has been key to important breakthroughs in condensed matter but also to push forward initiatives like Papers in Physics. We are indebted to Santiago for 17 years of continued support.
Jean-Christophe Géminard joined Papers in Physics as a Managing Editor in 2017. He has brought the journal closer to the European Physics community. Now, Jean-Christophe is taking the position of Section Editor. We are grateful for almost a decade of supporting Papers in Physics and glad to still have him on the board.
Carolina Brito joined Papers in Physics as a Managing Editor in 2019. She has rendered the journal a regional endeavour, adding Brazil to the managing of the journal. She also brought a gender perspective that was missing and very much needed. Carolina helped modernize the editorial process and guides of information to authors and editors, journal advertisement and engagement. She also worked hard to refresh and update the Editorial Board. We are grateful to Carolina for these years as a Manager and are glad to still have her on the board as a Section Editor.
